Motivation Session: Be Happy with Mathematics untuk Meningkatkan Minat Belajar Siswa SMP

Rendahnya minat belajar matematika pada siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) masih menjadi permasalahan utama dalam pembelajaran matematika. Kondisi ini tidak hanya dipengaruhi oleh tingkat kesulitan materi, tetapi juga oleh faktor afektif seperti motivasi belajar, pengalaman emosional, dan persepsi siswa terhadap matematika. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian ini dirancang untuk mengatasi rendahnya minat belajar matematika siswa SMP melalui pendekatan motivasional berbasis pengalaman belajar yang menyenangkan yaitu experiential learning. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan minat belajar matematika yang signifikan pada siswa yang mengikuti Motivation Session: Be Happy with Mathematics dibandingkan dengan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa intervensi motivasional yang dirancang secara terstruktur dan berorientasi pada emosi positif efektif dalam meningkatkan minat belajar matematika siswa SMP. Oleh karena itu, sesi motivasi berbasis pengalaman belajar yang menyenangkan dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif strategi pendukung dalam pembelajaran matematika di sekolah.
