The development of quality assessment instruments is an important aspect in improving mathematics learning. However, mathematics teachers at the junior high school level in Sukaraja, Tasikmalaya Regency, still face difficulties in developing academic ability test items that measure mathematical reasoning, problem solving, and higher-order thinking skills. This community service program aimed to strengthen the capacity of junior high school mathematics teachers in developing quality Academic Ability Test (Tes Kemampuan Akademik/TKA) instruments. The program involved members of the Mathematics Subject Teachers’ Forum (MGMP) in Tasikmalaya Regency, through a participatory and collaborative approach. The implementation consisted of socialization, training on assessment concepts and test-item development, practice in preparing test specifications and items, mentoring, item quality analysis, and evaluation. The program also facilitated the development of a mathematics academic test item bank through collaborative activities among teachers. The expected outcomes include improved teacher competence in preparing test specifications and academic ability test items, the availability of a structured mathematics question bank, and strengthened collaboration within the MGMP. The program is expected to support more systematic and quality mathematics assessment practices in junior high schools.
